Lingang New Area recently signed an agreement to establish an axle assembly industrial base, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan and a planned area of ​​300 mu (approximately 20 hectares). The base will include a research and development center, intelligent production workshops, and testing platforms, with an expected annual production capacity of 500,000 sets and annual sales revenue exceeding 8 billion yuan upon reaching full capacity. The base is a joint venture between the government and enterprises, focusing on the research and development and production of axle assemblies for new energy commercial vehicles and special vehicles. It will introduce robotic welding and digital twin technologies to create a complete industrial cluster. The project will also attract more than 20 upstream and downstream supporting enterprises, contributing to the high-quality development of the regional auto parts industry.
